Food safety and primary-industry requirements
We design record-keeping and reporting around the obligations your business operates under, including requirements administered by the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) and the Food Act 2014, and customer or assurance-programme standards. We build the data capture; you remain the authority on which standards apply to you.
Animal and product traceability
Where your operation involves livestock or batch-tracked product, traceability data models are designed to support the traceability expectations that apply, including NAIT for animals and lot-level tracing for processed product.
Privacy and data ownership
Grower, supplier and employee data is personal and commercially sensitive. We build to the Privacy Act 2020, agree data ownership and residency up front, and offer NZ or Australian hosting regions where required.

2. Scope and prioritise
We agree a first release that solves one concrete problem well, with a roadmap for what follows, so you see value early and are not committing to a big-bang programme.
3. Design with users
Interface prototypes are tested with growers, field staff or finance users before build, which is where most rural software succeeds or fails.
4. Build and integrate
Iterative delivery with regular demos on working software, integrated with your ERP, finance and identity systems from the start.
5. Launch and support

Can you integrate with existing ERP and accounting systems?
Yes — we integrate with most major ERPs (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor) and accounting platforms (Xero, MYOB) used in the NZ agri sector.
What about mobile-first tools for staff in the field?
Field-first design is one of our specialties. Tools have to work offline, on poor connections, with gloves on — and we design them that way from the start.
How long does a typical agritech project take?
It depends on scope. A focused first release such as a portal, a field capture app or a reporting automation is typically scoped in weeks, and larger platforms are delivered in phases so you get working software early. We give a written scope and estimate after a discovery conversation, not a guess on the first call.
Who owns the software and the data?
You do. Data, source code and documentation are yours, and we agree this in writing up front. We avoid proprietary lock-in and document the system so another team could maintain it.
We are a small operation. Is this relevant to us?
Yes. Not every project is an enterprise platform. Many of our smaller engagements are a single workflow, such as digitising job sheets, automating quotes, or connecting a sensor feed to a dashboard. We will tell you honestly if an off-the-shelf product is a better fit.
Can you work with our existing software vendors?
Yes. Most projects involve integrating with systems we did not build. We work with your vendors and IT providers, review their APIs and data exports, and design around their constraints.
How do you handle security for portals used by external growers or suppliers?
External users get proper authentication, role-based access, strict separation of each party's data, audit logging and encryption. We review the design with your IT or security team before launch and can support penetration testing.
