The Challenge
An internal product born from our own frustration with distributed sprint planning — existing tools support voting but offer no help with the actual estimation, leaving teams to argue from scratch every session.
The problem we were asked to solve
Manual story-point estimation in agile teams is slow, inconsistent between teams, and hard to do well when the team is distributed. Existing planning poker tools support voting but do not help you estimate — the AI is absent from the room where the judgement call happens, leaving every session starting from zero.
Our Approach
How we tackled it
Defined the core product thesis — planning poker tools exist but none of them help you estimate well. We designed around the AI as a co-estimator that informs team discussion, not a replacement for it.
Built a real-time voting engine with zero sign-up friction — any team member joins via a shared link and casts a vote in under 10 seconds. No accounts, no onboarding.
Integrated an LLM estimator that reads the story description and the team's historical velocity to propose a story point range, with visible reasoning the team can agree or override.
Added automated retrospective generation at sprint close — the platform summarises estimates, flags outlier votes with the largest spread, and exports a structured summary for the backlog.
